Access to documentary images and the stories they tell is practically unlimited today. However, photojournalists and documentary photographers have needed to navigate waves of the rapid change in what they’re being asked to produce and how their work is funded. A panel of photojournalists moderated by photographer and teacher Craig Schreiner will explore these questions and what they mean for photographers interested in documentary work. Participating panelists include: Steve Apps, editorial and sports photographer, chief photographer, Wisconsin State Journal; John Hart, photojournalist, Wisconsin State Journal; Lauren Justice, photojournalist/documentary photographer; Craig Schreiner, marketing at UW Whitewater and photojournalism instructor at MATC; and Meg Theno, senior photo editor, Chicago Tribune. The event will be held at the PhotoMidwest Studio.
