PhotoMidwest 2012 is a month-long celebration of photographic art held in Madison, Wisconsin, from September 16 to October 30, 2012.  Activities include:

• Seven States Exhibition, a juried event open to amateur and professional photographers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Missouri; 
• Signs of Protest, a juried book project open to all photographers, designed to document the emotions and events of the historic protests that took place in Wisconsin starting in early 2011;
• An interesting schedule of speakers, workshops, classes, and photo field trips; and
• A large variety of solo and group photo exhibits staged by photographers from the Center for Photography at Madison at venues throughout the Madison area.
