A Celebration of Photography in Midwestern Culture

The month long 2014 PhotoMidwest Festival kicks off Thursday, September 25 in Madison, Wisconsin, with a triptych of openings: the PhotoMidwest Invitational Juried Exhibit, the Focus Weekend and the month long celebration and exhibition of photography

In addition to the Festival's own Juried exhibit, the PhotoMidwest Invitational 2014 (shown above), this is a month to enjoy all types of photography. Throughout the area, venues from coffee shops to galleries, public spaces and museums, will all be hosting photographic exhibits. See the ever growing list of exhibits for more details.

And More

October includes a variety of special free lectures, workshops, and other events throughout the month. We are also hosting the annual Society for Photographic Education Midwest Regional Conference this year, including a public opening reception and lecture by Fred Ritchin.
