October 7–9

A two-day Master Class, a workshop on the Historical Society's Visual Archives, talks on photobooks and curation by present and former curators at the Cleveland Art Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago, portfolio reviews, a Saturday evening presentation by Larry Fink, gallery receptions, a gallery talk - the PhotoMidwest Festival Focus Weekend has something for everyone!

Friday afternoon offers a choice between two separately ticketed events:

There is also a reception for PhotoMidwest's Black and White interest group's show at the Lowell Center, 256 Shades of Grey. Copies of the exhibition's book will be available.

Friday evening centers on the Festival Juried Show at Overture Center with a gallery talk by juror Larry Fink.

Saturday is the second day of the Master Class, lectures and discussions by David Travis, Barbara Tannenbaum and Andy Kraushaar. The afternoon concludes with Individual Portfolio Reviews by Barbara Tannenbaum; additional reviewers will be added as needed.

Saturday evening features a presentation by juror and Master Class instructor Larry Fink.

Sunday begins with another talk by Barbara Tannenbaum, Bob Thall gives a Joseph Jachna Retrospective for the show installed at the Sundance movie theater in Hilldale Mall, and a Festival Wrap-Up.
