The Canon iPF6100 24" printer is out of one ink due to our receiving the wrong ink cartridge (the difference is hard to detect). It will be unavaialble until we receive and install the correct cartridge. See PhotoMidwest Home page for updates.
However, our newly restored (thank you Dick Wieboldt) Epson R2400 13" printer is now available. This Epson printer uses pigment inks, not dyes, and thus produces a print with stable colors. For black and white prints it uses three inks (Photo Black or Matte Black, Light Black and Light Light Black) to produce good monochrome prints.
It can use paper up to 13" wide and for practical purposes as long as you want including the common 13x19" (Super B or A3+) sheets. One advantage of the Epson R2400 over the larger Canon iPF6100 is that this smaller printer can print on smaller sheets, down to 4" wide versus the Canon's minimum of 8".
Printing is typically available from noon to 4 pm on Saturdays and by prior arrangement. On Saturdays call 608 630-9797 to check if someone is already using the printer.
